ChinaVis 2020 Special Topics Call for Proposal

The China Visualization and Visual Analytics Conference (ChinaVis)organizes special sessions to discuss current and important issues or frontiers in the visualization field. In the past ChinaVis, the special sessions included scientific visualization, security visualization, visualization theory, and many other themes.

In general, each special session is 90 minutes long, usually with three or four speakers for a 20-minute presentation each (if necessary, a few experts and scholars for discussion and comments), and 10 minutes for Q&A.

We call for proposals for the topics of the special session. Each proposal should include the information of the organizer(s) of the proposed session, the topic title, a brief introduction and information of the speakers (name, institute, short bio, and profile photo). New areas of visualization and interdisplinary topics are particularly encouraged. The organizer(s) should contact all speakers for approval before the submission. All speakers still need a regular conference registration if the proposal is approved. A special banquet will be arranged for all invited speakers.

A proposal should be sent as an attachment to chinavis.topic@gmail.com.
