随着大数据和人工智能新时代的到来,用于理解、分析、探索和挖掘数据关联的可视化技术将迎来一场深刻的变革。本论坛旨在讨论新时代可视化面临的机遇和挑战。例如:如何应用可视化实现传播、观察、分析和建模?如何利用人工智能大规模生成可视化?如何应用可视化使人与机器学习模型交互实现更好的决策?在分析大规模数据时,如何实现人在回路的分析?等等。
袁晓如,北京大学 研究员
袁晓如, 研究员,现任职于北京大学机器感知与智能教育部重点实验室,信息科学技术学院信息科学中心副主任。在高维数据、时空轨迹、社会媒体、网络安全数据、复杂流场数据等可视化与可视分析领域开展了系统的工作,发展了一系列多维、时空数据交互分析的方法和工具。关于高动态范围可视化的工作获得2005年 IEEE Visualization大会最佳应用论文奖。多次IEEE VAST Challenge 竞赛获奖。担任IEEE VIS,EuroVis, IEEE PacificVis等国际可视化会议程序委员会委员、论文主席等工作。共同创建ChinaVis大会。更多信息参见 http://vis.pku.edu.cn/wiki
Kwan-Liu Ma,美国加利福尼亚大学戴维斯分校
Kwan-Liu Ma is a professor of computer science at the University of California, Davis, where he leads VIDi Lab and and the UC Davis Center for Visualization. Professor Ma received his PhD degree in computer science from the University of Utah in 1993. His research interests include visualization, computer graphics, high-performance computing, and user interface design. For his research contributions to advancing the field of visualization, Professor Ma received numerous recognitions including the NSF Presidential Early-Career Research Award (PECASE) in 2000, IEEE Fellow in 2012, and the IEEE VGTC Visualization Technical Achievement Award in 2013. He has also actively served his research community. He has previously served as a Papers Chair for SciVis, InfoVis, EuroVis, and PacificVis, and also as an Associate Editor of IEEE TVCG (2007-2011) and the Journal of Computational Science and Discoveries (2009-2014). Professor Ma presently serves on the editorial boards of the IEEE CG&A, the Journal of Visual Informatics, the Journal of Computational Visual Media, and the Journal of Visualization.
Min Chen,英国牛津大学
Min Chen developed his academic career in Wales between 1984 and 2011. He is currently the professor of scientific visualization at Oxford University and a fellow of Pembroke College. His research interests include visualization, computer graphics and human-computer interaction. He has co-authored some 200 publications, including his recent contributions in areas such as theory of visualization, video visualization, visual analytics, and perception and cognition in visualization. He has worked on a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary research topics, ranging from the sciences to sports, and from digital humanities to cybersecurity. His services to the research community include papers co-chair of IEEE Visualization 2007 and 2008, Eurographics 2011, IEEE VAST 2014 and 2015; co-chair of Volume Graphics 1999 and 2006, EuroVis 2014; associate editor-in-chief of IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics; and co-director of Wales Research Institute of Visual Computing. He is currently an editor-in-chief of Computer Graphics Forum. He is a fellow of British Computer Society, European Computer Graphics Association, and Learned Society of Wales.
Leila De Floriani,美国马里兰大学帕克分校
Leila De Floriani is a professor at the University of Maryland, College Park. She has been a professor at the University of Genova (Italy) since 1990, where she served as director of the Ph.D. program in computer science for eight years. During her career, she has also held positions at the University of Nebraska, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the Italian National Research Council. De Floriani is a Fellow of IEEE and of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) as well as a Pioneer of the Solid Modeling Association. She has been a member of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Computer Society since 2017. She is the editor-in-chief of the IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG) and served as an associate editor for IEEE TVCG from 2004-2008. De Floriani is currently an associate editor of ACM Transactions on Spatial Algorithms and Systems, GeoInformatica, and Graphical Models. She has served on the program committees of over 150 leading international conferences, and has contributed to many conferences in a leadership capacity. De Floriani has authored over 300 peer-reviewed scientific publications in data visualization, geospatial data representation and processing, computer graphics, geometric modeling, shape analysis and understanding, garnering several best paper awards and invitations as a keynote speaker. Her research has been funded by numerous national and international agencies, including the European Commission and the National Science Foundation.
张小龙,美国宾夕法尼亚州州立大学
张小龙博士是美国宾夕法尼亚州州立大学信息科学与技术学院副教授,该学院知识可视化实验室主任。其主要研究涉及人机交互、虚拟现实、信息可视化与可视分析、社交网络分析、协同系统等领域,目前在研课题包括大数据可视分析、社交网络分析、可视分析的方法与理论等。所承担课题由美国国家科学基金委等机构资助。相关的研究论文发表于International Journal of Human Computer Studies, Journal of Visual Languages and Computing, IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics等国际期刊,以及ACM CHI, IEEE VIS等国际会议。张博士是中国计算机学会人机交互专委会委员、中国图象图形学会可视化与可视分析专委会委员。曾担任宾州州立大学数字科学委员会交互技术小组组长、宾州州立大学信息科学与技术学院人机交互领域负责人、以及美国信息科学与技术协会亚利桑那州分会会长等职。张博士获清华大学学士和硕士学位、密歇根大学博士学位。曾执教于亚历桑那大学。

陈谊,北京工商大学 教授
陈谊:教授,现任北京工商大学计算机与信息工程学院党委书记、食品安全大数据技术北京市重点实验室主任。主要研究方向为可视化与可视分析,近年5年,以第一(或通讯)作者在《Journal of Visualization》、《The Visual Computer》、《Journal of Visual Languages and Computing》、《软件学报》、《计算机辅助设计与图形学学报》等学术期刊和会议上发表论文23篇,以第一发明人公开或授权国家发明专利24项,2016年获中国分析测试协会科学技术奖(CAIA奖)特等奖。多次担任PacificVis、ChinaVis、ChinaVR、ChinaLDVA等著名可视化学术会议程序委员会委员和审稿人,更多信息请见http://cie.btbu.edu.cn/szdw/xb/jsjx/39484.htm。
Peter Eades,悉尼大学
Peter Eades is an Emeritus Professor in the School of Information Technologies at the University of Sydney, known for his research in Graph Drawing. He gained his PhD from the Australian National University in 1978, and has worked in Universities and Research Institutes across the world.
Michael McGuffin,加拿大ETS 教授
Michael McGuffin is a professor at ETS in Montreal, Canada, where he conducts research with his students in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Before joining ETS, he did a Ph.D. at University of Toronto, and before that, he worked as a software developer at a few companies, including Alias|wavefront and Discreet Logic (both now part of Autodesk). He has co-written six papers cited more than 100 times each, and in 2009, his paper at the IEEE InfoVis conference received an Honorable Mention. During the summer of 2017, he spent 3 months working at Microsoft Research in Ken Hinckley's group, and has been conducting research recently in augmented reality using devices such as the HoloLens.
廖方宇,中国科学院计算机网络信息中心 研究员
廖方宇,研究员,现任中国科学院网信领导小组成员、中国科学院计算机网络信息中心主任。担任院十三五信息化工程总体负责人、国家发改委促进大数据发展重大工程−科学大数据公共服务平台与创新应用示范项目负责人、中国科学院面向2035年战略规划中的“数据与计算”平台的论证组长等。兼任大数据分析与计算国家地方工程实验室主任、《信息网络安全》杂志编委、计算机安全专业委员会副主任、中国互联网协会副理事长、中国信息协会特约副会长、CODATA中委会副主席等。曾荣获国家科技进步一等奖和北京市科技进步二等奖。
