This conference accepts submissions written in Chinese or English. Accepted papers in English will be published in the Journal of Visualization, and those in Chinese will be published in the Journal of Computer-Aided Design & Computer Graphics.
ChinaVis adopts a two-round review process. Papers are only conditionally accepted during the first-round review, and need to be revised to address the issues raised by the reviewers and resubmitted to the corresponding journal submission systems. The papers that meet the revision requirements will then be formally accepted. In the past years, the acceptance rate of full papers was approximately 30%.
The conference uses the Precision Conference System (PCS) system for submission and review (https://new.precisionconference.com/chinavis).
For formatting guidelines of papers in enlish, please refer to the IEEE VGTC template requirements (http://www.cs.sfu.ca/~vis/Tasks/camera_tvcg.html). For formatting guidelines of papers in Chinese, please refer to the Journal of Computer-Aided Design & Computer Graphics requirements (http://www.jcad.cn/).
A full paper should be no more than 8 pages. Manuscripts should be submitted in the PDF format. For papers with system or technique contributions, authors are recommended to submit additional materials such as a screen-captured video of their system. All submissions must be unpublished original work. If the paper has been reviewed and rejected by other international visualization conferences or journals, the authors can attach the past reviews and provide a “Cover Letter” to clarify the improvement of the paper. Each submission will be reviewed anonymously by experts from multiple domains.

Call for Papers of Frontier Surveys
CFP of Frontier Surveys Information
ChinaVis 2019 is intended to provide frontier surveys on topics of interest to the visualization research community. All submissions should be original works that have not been published in any form. All accepted survey papers will be published in the "Visual Informatics" journal (In English) and "Journal of Computer-Aided Design and Computer Graphics" (In Chinese).
The survey papers will undergo a two-stage process. First, authors submit an initial sketch before May 6, 2019. A sketch briefly describes the planned survey by outlining the topic, providing the planned structure and outline of the survey, and listing all key references.
The length of a sketch is limited to two pages. Survey sketches will be reviewed by the survey IPC and comments will be provided in May 20, 2019. Qualified sketches are invited to submit a full survey to the second stage. The form is the same as other full papers of ChinaVis 2019.
The length of a full survey is limited to 10 pages. The full surveys will be reviewed by anonymous reviewers. The survey uses the Precision Conference System (PCS) system for submission and review (https://new.precisionconference.com/chinavis, ChinaVis 2019 Survey Papers Track).

Submission Instructions
Poster authors should make the submission by sending an email to chinavis.poster@gmail.com. Each submission includes:
The sketch of your poster layout (in PDF format) named as: ChinaVis2019_Poster_FirstAuthorName_BriefTitle.pdf
A summary of your poster named as: ChinaVis2019_Poster_FirstAuthorName_BriefTitle_2Page.pdf
Authors of each poster are required to submit a summary which no more than two pages in the IEEE VIS format: http://www.cs.sfu.ca/~vis/Tasks/camera.html. The summary can be written in either Chinese or English. The summary needs to include an introduction of the research motivation, results, findings, illustrations, and the discussion of broader impact to application domains. It is not necessary to include a comprehensive list of references, but it is required to cite the most relevant literature in the 2-page summary. In addition, we highly recommend the authors to include a video that highlights the research work. The video submission can be made by including an online link to the video.
The orientation of the poster must be portrait (taller than wide), and the dimension may not exceed A0 paper size (841 mm x 1189 mm / 33.1’’ x 46.8’’). The language can be either Chinese or English. The design sketch (in PDF format) must be submitted together with the two-page summary. If the poster is accepted, the authors shall print the poster and hang the poster at the designated location at the conference venue.
